Moore Park is named for John Thomas Moore, an early resident of the area, who subdivided the land in the late 1800s, to develop as an upscale Toronto suburb. Located immediately north of Rosedale, Moore Park is surrounded by beautiful, treed ravines and, like Rosedale, features stately old homes on leafy streets. The nearby Yonge/St. Clair area is the place to go for everything from groceries and dining spots to clothing shops and businesses that cater to the full range of day-to-day needs.
