Top 3 Summer Hiking Trails For Walking & Biking
It’s time for a summer adventure! Whether you enjoy hiking, biking, or need somewhere to take your dog for the day, Ontario has some fabulous places to get into nature. Here are a few trails in and around the city to explore.
Brickworks Trail
Stay local! Wander through the Evergreen Brickworks among the wildlife, just here in the city. Follow the heavily wooded trail as it offers Torontonians a short but challenging hike. After your adventure, pop by Evergreen Brickworks for the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays or the Sunday Artisan & Vintage Market on Sundays.
Elora Gorge Trail
Located in the Grand River Valley, just north of Kitchener Waterloo, the Alora Gorge Trail is one of the most spectacular natural areas. As you walk the trail, you’ll hear the river’s flow, where kayakers and tubers navigate the rapids. You’ll explore the conservation area, which offers views of the 22-metre deep gorge. Cyclists can explore the 47km trail called the Elora Cataract Trailway.
