It’s that time of year again, and the little ones – and maybe some of the bigger ones too! – are looking forward to some Halloween fun. Here is a selection of outings and events for the entire family.

Spooktacular Light Show

Take in over 1.5 million light decorations and 3D interactive displays along a 2 km route, in the comfort of your own vehicle. Proceeds from ticket sales support Toronto SickKids, Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer (OPACC), and Toronto Animal Services.

Halloween Nights of Lights

A drive-through event for all ages. More than 1.5 million LED and RGB lights, animated and synchronized to your favourite Halloween tunes, along with a new drive-through Trick-or-Treat Lane!

Legends of Horror at Casa Loma

An immersive theatrical experience. Walk at your own pace along a 2 km trail, from the lower gardens of Casa Loma through the castle’s tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public. Length of event: one hour.

The Haunted Walk – Ghost Tours

Ghosts, graveyards, hangings and haunts. Learn about Ontario’s darker past, on either the Original Haunted Walk of Toronto or the Spirits of the Distillery District Ghost Tour.

Celebrate the Halloween spirit with spooky and scary activities, including a frightening forest walk, a bonfire, scary stories, and Halloween activities. For children 10 and under.

Step inside the action, as characters from your favourite spooky films come to life outside your car!  Want to bring the whole family? Try the early screening, which will be less scary. Want to have nightmares? Wait for the late show!

Halloween Howl

Take a lantern-lit night hike through the woodlands, stopping to learn about owls, bones, bats and zombie trees. Finish off the night by warming up around the campfire.

Halloween Food Truck Festival
October 30 and 31
Variety Ontario

Food, drinks, entertainment, crafts, kids’ costume contests, and treats. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated, to support Variety Ontario’s unique programming for individuals with disabilities.
