“Pompette” is French for “tipsy,” which one may become from sampling a little too much from this modern French bistro’s expansive wine list. (But, since we’re all at home for the holidays this year, at least we won’t be driving!) Pompette French cuisine is exquisite. Order one of their gourmet multi-course Christmas dinners (and a bottle or two of that wine!) for pick-up. Hopefully, their house-made sourdough bread will accompany.
This midtown dining spot has been garnering rave reviews since it opened 18 months ago, with Chef Sash Simpson (formerly of North 44) at the helm. For Christmas, Sash is offering a delectable, three-course dinner (with choice of appetizer, entrée, vegetables, and dessert). Order by December 21 for pick-up on December 24.

A holiday meal fit for a king!

A fine addition to Toronto’s Japanese food scene, Skippa has its fish flown in fresh from southern Japan. You’ll find a different multi-course meal available for take-out every weekend. A recent menu included a starter of persimmon with Japanese shrimp, followed by stuffed ravioli in a house-made broth, a Bento box of wild fish from Japan, and a dessert of green tea ice cream with white and dark chocolate, pistachios and pomegranate. So good!
